Refund policy

At Mode'a, we stand behind the quality of our products. In accordance with the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, every item we sell is covered by a Legal Warranty to ensure it is fit for its intended use and remains durable for a reasonable period.

1. Scope of Coverage

This policy applies exclusively to items that:

  • Have a manufacturing defect or hidden defect that renders the item unfit for its normal use.

  • Are not durable for a reasonable length of time, given their price and the conditions of their use.

  • Do not conform to the description provided on our website, in advertisements, or in our technical specifications.

2. Your Rights Under the Legal Warranty

If a product is found to be defective or non-conforming, Mode'a will, at its discretion and as required by law, provide one of the following remedies at no cost to the consumer:

  • Repair: We will fix the item to restore it to its proper working condition.

  • Replacement: We will replace the defective item with an identical product or a model of equivalent value.

  • Refund: If repair or replacement is not possible or reasonable, we will issue a full refund of the purchase price.

3. Reporting an Issue

To invoke the legal warranty, you must notify us as soon as the defect is discovered:

  • Notification Period: Please report any visible damage or non-conformity (e.g., wrong color or model) within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Evidence: You will be required to provide your order number and clear photographic or video evidence of the defect or damage.

4. Exclusions

Please note that the legal warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by abnormal use, negligence, or lack of maintenance by the consumer.

  • Normal wear and tear that is expected over the lifetime of the furniture.

  • Minor aesthetic variations inherent to natural materials (such as wood grain or marble veining).
